I have a friend with problems. Trouble is he's got a manky old boat (MOB) with a scruffy teak deck and he's trying to remove it so it can be replaced. This is taking forever and he is unlikely to get many miles in this year unless something is done about it. If he doused the deck in petrol and chucked a match at it whilst standing by with a fire extinguisher would that be an appropriate solution?

If you were a true friend of this person with problems, you would be helping him to get it fixed quicker.

As a true friend, I have given him much advice in the past about the unsuitability of the manky old unmanouvrable slow expense (MOUSE). But he has chosen to ignore me .. he's married to a frenchwoman, you know, and thats pu him in the habit of never listening to anyone

It's my understanding that he's abandoned the project and taken up skiing. Rumour has it that he attempted a black run, but prudently decided to turn back and seek a ride on a longer pair of skiis.

Pardon me asking but were you in "The Griswolds' Family Christmas"? That picture looks SO familiar.

Re: Black runs, no probs

I'm envious as I haven't been skiing since SWMBO had a bad knee injury 4 years ago. She now doesn't trust the knee and I haven't been able to bring myself to go on holiday without her. So it's sailing these days for us!
