Marine team at Mylor replaced my fridge and freezer evaporators, in 2015; both have worked well since.

There was one other guy in Falmouth who was recommended by the fridge manufacturers Uk office as being their local dealer, but he didn’t answer his phone. I can’t remember his name now, but might be worth asking your fridge manufacturer, for a recommendation.
As for reasonably priced, it was more In Mylor than I paid a French guy in Concarneau, but his repair lasted a week. The French guy spent ages on supposedly diagnosing the issue, whilst at Mylor, they charged nothing for diagnostics, and just fitted the new parts, within three days (necessary as I was leaving for Portugal).

Would you recommend replacing with a keel cooler as it would seem to be the way to go if you current domestic or such like is dying?

Yes, I struggled to find anyone Falmouth way so did DIY and very happy with the results. It wasn't hard to do at all, just a bit fiddly with the pipe routing, but done in a day.
