Should suit you down to the ground!
You could sell your house (see House or Home thread), park that on the quayside and live in it (ditto), and spend the proceeds of the house sale on perpetual repairs (see Romance of Wooden Boats thread). (You could have a Stannah Stairlift instead of a ladder to get up to the deck.)
