Hello everyone, Can any one assist us please ?
We have recently purchased a Frans Maas, Steel 36ft sloop, Breeon Class, 1963/4. She has been restored below deck but we are having problems balancing her sails. Previous owners have fitted furling headsails but this does not balance with the mainsail. Tried lots of things. Anyone know how I can get an original sailplan? Or has anyone else got a lovely Breeon? and can assist? She is a real joy and attracts a lot of attention from fellow boat owners.

Thanks for that link. I have tried emailing them but emails are returned as undeliverable! We are not looking to win any races with her. Just trying to ease the 'weather helm problems. You need a gorilla on the wheel to hold her!.

In my little library I found a book called "Van Kampen", published in 1968, with two drawings of this boat. I''ll scan the pages of this book and mail them to you. Of course it isn't a sailplan, but it gives an idea. Hope it is helpfull.
Succes!!
