Can you explain why she needed to be questioned? the passport shows where she came from & anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that they are obliged to self isolate on return to UK having visited a list of destinations. The authorities will know that she has arrived & her address. Clearly there is a matter of common sense & trust.
Are you suggesting that she will not self isolate? Perhaps she is going to pop round to see her dad & give you a dose . -- We will miss you on the forum

Perhaps the authorities know where his wife traveled from and her address but you can self isolate anywhere. As far as I understand looking at the Gov website you have to fill in a passenger locator form with personal details and where you intend to self isolate at least 48 hours before arriving back in the UK. This has to be handed in to the authorities. The fact she was not questioned or asked for this makes a mockery of the situation..
