Nice one! - that picture is very much different to the one in the latest IMRAY book which shows on 2 or 3 bouys outside the lock and states clearly that there are no pontoons outside so you "sometimes have to raft up for up to 5 hours". Im sure that we will give it a go .... just to say that we have been there - I think my worry is getting across the channel in one piece hehe - I have had pictures sent to me showing half was across the channel smooth mirror like states - but then talking to some of the guys at our marina they are "ooooooh yes we did that and there were 20ft swells to contect with ......" so has worried the SWMBO!!!!!
