Found yet another winter job to do

My telescopic pole needs attention. Not sure the grease would help though, and I am sure the salt gets washed off on a regular basis. I guess it's just plain worn out

Is that what the 1st mate says?

It's a lousy job, but someone had to say it!

hm. wd that be an aluminium pole with plastic fittings that rot in oil-based grease? Anyway, as long as you used silicon it will be ok and no need to worry about the precious 5 quid telescopic uselss pole thing....

Is the end bit plastic? If so it is best to apply sunblock factor 90 to ensure that there is no strength degradation due to uv exposure. No point in having a strong shaft if the bit at the end shoots off too soon!

First mate very happy with the things as they are. Have suggested on numerous accasions that she should aquire a new one but she seems to enjoy tinkering to get it to function the way it used to when new. Sentimental things, first mates.
