If the royalties from an extra 20 or 30 sales of a 4.99 book make a difference I suspect money is very tight...although i note that it is now ranked at #1 in their sailing category so he may get a bit more.
Unfortunately, knowing how expensive alongside Cascais is, I fear this is the law of diminishing returns. (n)

In the spirit of fraternity, has anyone got a way of downloading the book, and forwarding it for free to all other forumites?
The reason that I ask, with W being the Scot of Scots, and they having the reputation of being slightly 'careful' with the dosh, morally he'd have to support the wise economy of this, wouldn't he?;)

Thats a good point, perhaps our little contributions will start off bigger things? I have advised him to do lots of pics and write it up for PBO

Webbie is from south of the border but has had the good sense to escape. Find another excuse for your parsimony!

You could send Webbie a complimentary copy so that he has something to read while on shoreleave with a broken engine. (y)

Having difficulty downloading it now.....anyone else having problems?

Maybe Amazon's servers are having a meltdown with the volume... some techie somewhere is scratching their head wondering what's going on.

They could be wondering if the free version is somehow illegible. Classic way is to make the text the same colour as the background...

I'm no friend of Webby's, but I am confused by the way you guys are helping him.

From what I see you can download his book for free, or you can download it for £4.99. Those that do the latter are probably contributing literally a few pence to Webby, the rest will go to Amazon/Kindle or whoever.

Surely if you want to help the man, download the free version and send him £4.99 direct.

Webby can thank me later

He could do as I once did when my inboard engine was out of action.

Make up a bracket using cheap timber and materials from a DIY store, then mount an outboard motor on it.
was it not him who already explained something about wind vane or such .
