I'm in that horrible scenario where there is nothing material/significant wrong with the boat.

What that really means is that either there is something wrong and I'm not aware of it yet, or something will go wrong the next time I go out.

Yes its really scary that. Its like the boat is lulling you into a false sense of security before it hits you with something really big. I'm sure the Sod in Sod's Law was a motorboater

That's almost a certainty.

Not sure its a good idea to correct all faults as the satisfaction of having an almost fault free boat often seems to lead to a new fault revealing itself . Almost as if the boat is constantly trying to provide its owner with something to do .

This year I had to bung in a new voltage regulator on one of the alternators, and nip up a small fuel weep. Otherwise all good, non-Volvo though.

Anyway. I deny that sitting in harbour this weekend had anything to do with engines. The sea looked a little bumpy. Just a tad. And I was wrecked anyway. Ended up as a party for 1 cos the ghetto folk could handle the tender ride over

Bruce is banned from welch marinas , he canny moor up ,that is why there are no boats near him on his jetty.

I had heard that his close quarters manoeuvring was a bit to be desired. Hence I asked who moored up for him

Nothing wrong with my close quarter manoeuvring. I can get into any space. Just have to push a few boats out the way first. I learnt from watching Med mooring videos.
