I found a little book edited by the RCC for 1971including sailing on the Great Lakes in a Macwester 26 and building a wooden cutter in Puerto Mott. Also various technical observations.Would it not be interesting for members to write a short account of their memorable yachting events for the year.

I confess that I tend not to read other people's cruise accounts, let alone blogs. Even in my association's annual magazine I tend to skip through most of the articles, concentrating only on the places that I know myself. However, it's not a bad idea in principle and maybe you could start a thread something like the gags one. I look forward to your account of last summer's cruise.

Well once I have a boat I could contribute a cruise of the lower rias but as of yet Iam boatless.Boubas accounts are an indication of the way to go maybe with a bit more nautical stuff instead of what he is eating .Iagree long boring accounts are like looking at somebody’s holiday snaps 😂…..they have to have pictures !

Once you have a boat the Greenland icecap will have collapsed and the rias will just be a featureless part of the eastern Atlantic.

[EDIT - WonkyWInch's post about flying forum burgees was supposed to be quoted here. I don't know where that went!]

I am able to do that (once I get the flippin' boat back in the water ) as I have one of them there YBW Forum burgees with the mouse and glass, acquired with a boat I bought off a former forumite.

I am however obliged to fly it in an inferior position to the mighty East Coast Forum Flag of Awesomeness -
