Nope - he sails, or sailed. an Osprey (and not at that speed)

Looked like an AUS sail number. All the video needed was a little Moth coming on screen right and cruising smoothly past the 505 on its foils

What surprised me was the helm wasn’t holding the mainsheet, ready to dump instantly if went down the mine?

That’s not us, just a baby one, a 25. They’re nowhere near the edge there. It's sailing almost level. The lee float is nearly submerged when you’re maxing out.

We have some 505 sailors at Stone. A new one is £35K plus. One of our members has 3 or 4. The best one he keeps for the worlds & nationals only.
When he bought it he sent it to Germany to have it rigged by a German company. Cost was circa £6K. Two he has loaned to a couple of club youngsters & they are gradually working their way up the UK results.
A couple of our member have recently raced in a 505 open at Quiberon.
