Far preferable to the unwanted slap slap in an aft cabin due to transom shape when on a pontoon.
I believe devices have been produced to try to mitigate that racket. A bit like a large coir doormat...

In the past, when I have slept in the forecabin I have slept with feet towards the pointy end to play footsie with my wife and attempting not to lose the pillows off the end of the bed.
However looking at a number of boats in the 30-35ft range for sale, their adverts have put the pillows to the pointy bit of the bed.
Have we been sleeping the wrong way round all this time - is there a magic in sharing a pillow with your wife with loadsa room for your feet?
So, how do you orientate yourselves in your forecabin?
