Am told that samphire should be lightly boiled, then served with butter!

By the way, pick your own, I did see it in a grocer's once, and thought if I whipped down to Tollesbury I could have made a fortune!
 
Whilst diving from the boat in Southern Brittany last year, we harvested some mussels. Went straight in the pan with a bit of white wine. Violent food poisoning for the next 3 days!!!

Tasted delicious and fresh so don't why they would have given us food poisoning....maybe pollution?

tastes like slightly salt, very soft asparagus.
