Font for SSR number?

Slightly random question, but does the font for a boat's SSR number have to be Times New Roman (like on the template they send) or can any font be used? If so can anyone recommend one which meets the size/space criteria?

Most important as I understand it is the size and width of lettering. But would suggest that fancy caligraphy / script is NOT suitable !!

"Each digit of the number should be a minimum of 30mm in height and 20mm in width,
except for the number 1, which should be 5mm in width and have a thickness of 5mm
with a space of 5mm between each digit."

Doesn't actually specify a font though. As suggested a florry font wouldn't be wise.
 
This is what I did for mine and had it laser cut in mirror polished stainless steel by a factory in Bedford. Looks great.

That's what you think /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif You must have noticed my boat name and SSR Number before.

on one occasion the Belgians checked the font of my ssr with the template. that was in the 1990’s since then have been part 1
