Agree, but I think the reason is that the grp above the rubbing strake is a continuous surface up to the gunwhale, across the top surface, and down the inside bulwarks. So there is no hard edge to take the paint up to, no capping rail or anything.
None of that is insurmountable engineeringwise, but it may be they decided not to adopt any of the availalbe solutions (capping rail= heavy maintence if wood and expensive if s/s. Screwing a stainless strake at the gunwhale = owner mightn't have wanted it aesthetics wise. Just stop the paint with masking tape = best solution imho but owner mightn't have wanted such a "naked" solution)
Must admit at first sight in the current light it just looks like it's the light that's causing the colour change - but on further investigation it was definately beige. So it did make us all look twice.
Is this the same colour of Beige that Sessa are using....as I quite like that Colour! Not sure about a flybridge Sunseeker in it though /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Yep, in fact I'd have gone for the do nothing option. I'd have masked it 1 inch below the gunwhale and just taken the paint to a masking tape edge, and polished it to remove the "step" burr. Would have looked fine imho
At least they took the paint down to the w/line. No silly white triangle at the bow
That's not my cup of tea i can tell you. What about those lovely metallic colours they're coming out in? If i knew how to insert photos i would, but there's some gorgeous looking metallic sky blue, or dark blue and bold red, copper coloured cruisers. Very nice, I say.
