Would like to change to a folding wheel, can anyone recommend a wheel and where to get one at a reasonable price, Lewmar look very expensive but are they the only supplier. Anyone with a similar boat changed.

Beneteau offer a folding wheel made by Goiot or perhaps Solomar. However think you will find just as expensive as a Lewmar. This might explain why you rarely see them fitted to boats.

Bought a Lewmar folding wheel 3 years ago, managed to get a bit of discount from marine megastore, still mind bogglingly expensive but it's among the best bits of kit I've bought for my boat.
Big wheels in small cockpits are a pain in the a**!

Ours is the last one in the range of the new Bavs that has a single wheel and it is a pain for access. The next size up has twins. I started to look for a folder, but £600 quid was just stupid. All I do now is remove the wheel for access when we are moored and opnthe boat - takes seconds. Always replace it though before we leave the boat.

Think you are right - was on a smaller model probably a 373 at Southampton show a couple of years ago. The Lewmar folding one was originally designed by Rob Humphreys for the Elans and was a low cost option on a 344 I looked at.
