Foldin Props-position when moored

I have a folding prop on my new boat which I put into reverse gear to fold when sailing. My query is what is best when she is on her swinging mooring. This is on the River Thames so there is quite a rip . I presume it is betst to keep it folded by leaving it in reverse gear, but is this likely to harm the gearbox in anyway, leaving it so for week after week?

You don't mention what make of prop. I have a MaxProp, and can give you tips on that, but other types may behave differently.
