Firstly this is a long term project, I don't really expect to do anything this season but since I intend to keep Seralia for a long time (7-10 years) I might as well get the boat the way id like it.
I know it wont add any resale value (after 10 years the boat wont have much value to enhance) but it will add to our enjoyment and will probably prolong the ownership period.
Here is the current layout:
Its a fairly big FB but by todays standards (or maybe just by british standards) poorly laid out. There is no possibility to dine up top, there is not wet bar, or griddle place (the big triangular module is a very shallow fridge) and I think it can be done better.
What id like to do is create a U shape seating/dining area at the stern where the current floor level sunpads are. There would then be an L crew seat forward of that on the same side. Ideally id like to replace the helm bench with proper seats (but realistically the budget might not stretch to that).
It then like a taller lateral wet bar/grill behind the helm.
unless anyone has better ideas.
