Fly bridges in the UK

What is it about zips, blue canvas and little rubber bungees that attracts a certain sort of boater. ? and that special smell of water and hydraulic oil which announces yet another period of time ashore. :(
Are there forums on the dark web where they congregate to enjoy their special little peccadillos . :) :) :)

I've said it before. Just about every FB without at least a 4m beam is a pokey horrid affair. Say what you like but it's true. FB's have their place but not in the under 40 foot market.

I can't believe you just called my pride and joy a horrid affair. Them's fightin' words!

You can step on his blue suede shoes and be rude about his parentage but do not traduce his boat ?

The really bad ones are those under 40 and on shafts. More than one onboard and the predominant words are - excuse me. skuzi moi, coming thru, mind! :p

I’m not sure what I’d go for next if I ever do .
Flybridge great on a real sunny day with no wind but your Billy no mates when it’s cold
Its quiet though no engine noise , think I’d sacrifice noise to be warm on a cold day .

big sports cruisers with likes of D 9/12 seem noisey to me , some of it’s the roof as sound bounces off grp , quieter with roof open .

Im sure builders could do more in the silencing dept to make a boat really quiet underway .

I’ve just sold my boat a Bayliner 3050?, a fab boat with Kad’s ( under offer). I’m looking for something a bit bigger?with may be less plastic so I‘m looking at fly bridges aswell ....... thanks for your all your experiences....
