WOW congratulations! looks great and that engine room, thats clean!

wish you many happy hours!! look forward to more pictures!

Blimey, did anyone ever walk inside the cabin?
You couldn't expect to find a better looking boat at a boat show, congratulations! :encouragement:

I saw three of these in Lymington Yacht Haven this afternoon - have to say they are pretty boats.

Not just pretty: what really sold it to me was the underwater hull design, which I believe Ocke Mannerfelt helped with. A very deep forefoot, and planing surfaces that extend right underneath the bathing platform result in a hull that it is very good at squashing waves, for it's size.

I drove one about three years ago, on Southampton water in an F5. I didn't want to break anything, but the demonstration skipper kept saying "go faster" so I did. 25kts upwind in an F5-6 is not something I would have ever tried in the S28, capable as it is.

With D4-260's it will not be a rocket ship in the same way as a slender Targa 40 with D6's would be, but I'm okay with that. Burbling along at 24 kts is just fine for me: top speed is maybe 30-32kts on a good day.

Would have thought it'll be faster than that, our windy 37 with d4 260's is good for 35-37knts depending on conditions.

Don't think so, it weighs 7900kg!

You could probably squeeze another couple of knots by going up one prop size, but if you really want more speed, you should choose D4-300's which will get you 34-36kts.

30kts+ is enough for me.

I think the windy is about 7.5t, so pretty comparable on weight. Let us know what it'll do when you get it.

That's one of the boats I really like. Have often admired the space and the looks. I'm sure you will enjoy her.

River trial gave 31/32. But that was in very close waters, like 10 ft either side the boat so some drag and it was no more than 5 ft deep. Scary!!

A video of that would have been very interesting.
I'll try a proper speed run across Osborne Bay when conditions allow.

I had no time for phones or videos I had my head hung in the engine bay for most of it popping up to read the boost pressure and engine temps! While the skipper was looking for the odd fisherman and floating skip.
