I have just happened across a simple weighted, triangular design for the above but it is something I have never tried myself. Anyone any experience?
This seems to work ok, using a simple gardener's trug bucket:

Love it. The best of PBO innovation. A friend uses a smart commercially made one and is very happy with it. I will get one probably, or a catamaran.

I made my wife one for a Christmas present after a terrible night on one of Sark's rolly anchorages. 6 mm aluminium sheet 80 x 80 x 80 cm sides, glued on plastic edging strip to protect the GRP and a plastic-coated diver's weight bolted to one corner. Very definitely worthwhile.

I once used a black bucket with some weights in it (from the pole end similar to the video), it worked surprisingly well. the KISS priciple:)

I feel like these have gone out of fashion in favour of the more effective "bit of rope to the anchor chain to turn the boat a bit". Doesn't have such a fun name, but does seem to work well.

Turning the bow is my favourite method but we have some local anchorages where the wind becomes light and changes direction some nights so bow could be anywhere. I’ve a semi effective flopper stopper using the parachute drogue and a diving weight. It doesn’t stop the motion but does seem to stop the resonant roll where the boat rolls more and more violently before steadying.
