Hello I'm just working on my plans for leaving the boat in Greece and am wondering has anybody got any information on cheep flights to and from London.
My searching skills don't seem to be up to much. Flight scanner don't seem to have any london flights.
Any help much appreciated.
Paddy

In season you can pick up charter flights to Preveza. Alternatives are flights to Athens and then bus to levkas, or flights to Corfu, ferry to Ignoumenitsa and one way car hire to Levkas. The Athens/bus is popular and not a lot of hassle - late night flight from London, bus from airport into Athens bus station then regular buses to Lefkas.

Thanks for replys, should have added time of year would be August/September.
Had read about the Athens then bus route but forgot to put it into thought proses.

Thompson and Monarch fly into Preveza in season. May to end September.

Athens then 6 hours bus to levkas or preveza

Corfu then ferry to igounomitsa and bus / car hire or taxi to Preveza or catch the island hopper Crete / Sky express turboprop to preveza.

Thesaloniki flight and bus to Preveza

Fly to keffalonia but ferries and taxis to Preveza ( taxi the length of Keffalonia, ferry to vasiliki if its running, taxi to preveza ) will set you back a day and some money!

Drive to Italy, ferry to Greece.

Direct flights to Preveza can be frighteningly expensive at that time. Cheaper to go to Florida (really).

Flying to Corfu then daily shuttle to Preveza is another option, although a couple of years ago it was not possible to do the outbound trip in one day.

I've done Cheap flight to Corfu & Sky Express, it's by far the easiest way, it was either April or May & there were only 3 of us on the turboprop...

When they first started you could do the Saturday Sleazyjet and have 30 minutes to catch the Prevza link.

Then they screwed with the time tables. :(

Dont think I've ever seen more than 3 or 4 people aboard it and done it a few times as the sole occupant. :)

Flights out to Preveza from 2 May via British Airways to Munich (2hour wait) and then Air Berlin . Last flight back to UK in end October. You can book via British Airways booking line. Cost similar to flying to Athens.
Air Berlin is how cheap flying should be.

I fly to Athens (tomorrow actually) from Stansted RyanAir, regular cheap winter fights, then bus from Athens to Lefkas, approx 5 timeas a day, a 5-1/2hr. journey with stop halfway.

From the times quoted I suspect you've ignored the coach from airport to Athens coach station and assumed perfect timing for catching the Levkas coach.

1000 threads about flight to/from Preveza....
is there no administrator...?!?!
use search!

Most of the threads are old - and not easy to find given the search facility on here. If you don't want to read it why did you bother - and why waste even more of your time whingeing? I for one found this quite interesting! Don't take any notice Paddy!
