Flexiteek Colours

Hurricane, I used the last of the Wilks Dek-king and I found 40 grit keeps the grain OK. Might be worth you trying it on your pink section.
Yep - I now use 40 grit on the areas that I've done using Trakmark for that same reason.
I'll have a look sometime but I don't thing it will do much for the Flexiteek pink colour.
And, as said by @Sunny Islands above, even if it did bring the colour back, it would eventually go pink again.

Looking at your picture, Hurricane, I think that no-one who hadn’t spent a lot of time on their hands and knees templating and fitting your decking would even notice any difference in colour. It all looks magnificent to me, anyway.

I still have real teak in the cockpit which I currently clean with Wessex.
If you clean teak properly with Wessex, you can get the old teak looking like new.
I like my decks looking new so, when I did my bathing platform, I matched the Flexiteek (when it was new) to the Flexiteek "Bleached" colour.
And this was the result:

Only the top step in this photo is real teak - the rest is Flexiteek (Bleached).
Top step was cleaned using Wessex just before that photo was taken.
Since that photo, the Flexiteek now has a "pinkish" tint to it.

If you prefer to not to clean the real teak with Wessex, then I suggest going for the "Weathered" or "Vintage" colours.
Trakmark/TekDek have fewer options.
Since that post a couple of years ago, we have now done the cockpit using Trakmark.

It is really nice walking around the boat on nice smooth decks.

I know people often slate synthetic teak because it gets very hot underfoot.
This is true but not that often.
And sometimes even wood teak gets too hot to walk on.
But, in contrast to that, when not too hot (99% of the time) synthetic teak is really nice to walk on in bare feet.
Just try walking on 6 year+ old wood teak.
Wood naturally erodes leaving ridges and later, the caulking also becomes uncomfortable.
Add to that - wood teak is "just plain dirty" - try the wet bare foot test - place your wet bare foot on wood teak and then step onto some clean white GRP.

Synthetic teak does need cleaning but not so frequently as wood - wood attracts everything - just try dropping a potato crisp onto wood deck.
I clean our synthetic teak with a pressure washer - takes about 30 mins to clean foredeck, side decks, flybridge, cockpit and bathing platform. It used to take a lot longer with the two part wood teak cleaner.

I was talking to Olly at Flexiteek a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned your pink deck and he said it should definitely not do that, that's not something they'd had reported before. If you wanted to contact him it possible that they may have a remedy.
