Flexible Epoxy?

Epoxy is very strong and very stiff by nature, but let a chemist loose in the lab and you will get soft epoxy, it has been around for a while, no I'm not talking that batch that did not cure because the humidity was too high......

Hey oldsalts do you know if ATL sells it and does it have a name other than flexible epoxy? will be ok to grout into the keel joint im thinking.

G'day,

I think I would stick with Sikaflex-291 LOT not the Sikaflex-291, the LOT version has a bit less grip but stays flexible, good all round and a slower cure-skin time so no rushing.

Also a good practice to place small Neoprene washers, not too thick, around each bolt to reduce water ingress.

I have just become a stockist of Permabond Adhesives & they have two Flexible Epoxies in their range. ET510 & ET515. Max Gap fill for both is 2mm. They set to working strength in an hour & achieve full strength in 24 Hours.

PM Me if you want more info.
