Replaced my 18" fixed for a 20" Max Prop feathering type prop. The performance increases have been excellent....
Increased boat speed for lower engine RPM.....saving on fuel costs.
At least an extra Knot and a bit when under sail.
Reversing under power is a revalation.
And, a reduction in prop walk.
All in all a good descision on my part to replace with a feathering prop!!

I have used 3 bladed flexofold props for 10 years on two separate yachts.
I have been very happy with performance and absolutely no problems, loads of thrust forward and in reverse. I'd find it difficult to justify the additional cost for the minimal advantages of a varifold prop.

flex-o-fold again , used them on a cat for 9 years , really well made , 1 knot + added boatspeed no appreciable wear , excellent engineering
