Have you tried Lema boats?

Or give Jon @ Sea Ventures a call 715737 for the new Leader 705 which u can c @ www.jeanneau.com

Beneteau Flyer 701 see Mike Brennan : New Horizon or spk to Jon again as he will get you a deal thru Jean Marc in St Malo.

All can be done with Volvo Diesel.

A freind of mine has a Maxum 2300 SCR in beaucette for sale. but a bit ore expensive than you are looking at.

I looked a Lema. Very cheap, and they look it. Very poorly fitted out, all stuck on PVC quilting everywhere. Yuk.

All IMHO of course.

Steve, as I think I said in a previous post, there are two brand new 19 SC GTS waiting for you in Poole, still shrink wrapped.Albeit sterdrive, not your first choice I know, £20,300 inc VAT, but ex trailer.

Never had a close look at them there is always Galeon boats new to market and built at same factory by same staff that used to do Jeanneau in Poland.

Thanks Geoffs

I'm still at the dreaming and scheming stage atm, still gotta get the loft conversion done but if Fletchers are off the menu I'm interested to see what else is around and what folks think.

What about the offerings from our American friends are they ok or a bit on the flabby side?

Thanks Dom

Haven't looked at Jeanneau before 'only seen the merry fishers which did not appeal at all. The leaders actually look quite nice I must try to see one in real life.

From what we found, you get a huge amount for your money from american makers......canopies,cushions,lights,instruments, etc etc, all often seem to be part of the basic spec., not over-priced extras as seemed to be the case with the cheaper french boats.

Try the Targa 23 (not fairline)
It's quick (35 knots top, 27 cruising), v. stable and has walkaround decks
I don't know the name of the guy to contact, but the company is Wessex marine in Poole. May be outside pricerange as there are few 2nd hand.

They may seem like over priced extras but if you dig a little deeper the agent will knock consid sum off extras or for covers on french boats you can get them from an NV Equipment agent lie myself at a fraction of the cost for exactly the same item. Thats why I have the full canopy on my Leader 805 as it is nearly half price retail than from Jeanneau agent.

Quality is 10 times better than the yanks stuff, NV use the sunbrella plus on a zipless system for covers , 20 yr guarantee or something like that I'll have to look to remember but also UVA/B resistant.

As I said I got v.good deal on my boat!

I didn't realize that you had an 805 I Think that its probably a bit big for me but the 705 looks V nice, I'll have to take a closer look. How does it handle? I have heard the the US stuff is not as good in the choppy waters we get 'round here but I've not had any personal experience with them.

Great in a chop u hardly notice it at all and no distinct drop off in speed. Have a freind with much faster boat but any sign of wind agin in the lit russell and I can whoop past him at 32knts.

Only prob is in f4-5 beam sea you get a bit wet when trying to keep up higher speeds. Give us a shout when weather picks up and I'll take you for a spin and also talk to you about 705 as I saw them being built at same factory as 805. I'm on Albert X11 boat name is Matrix.

overpriced extras.....(depsol)

I did dig deeper, and they looked like over-priced extras disguised as "good deals".

Maybe the deals are better up at 8.0m ?

Re: More Fletcher news

Will watch the YBW.COM news items with interest on Monday. It'll be good to see the business continue, and in what form. Can't help feeling the industrial moldings side will be trimmed back, at the very least. From what I've heard, that's the side of the business that caused problems.

I too will be interested to see whats happening, to the company as well as the future prices etc, The Fletcher still looks like the best deal for what I'm looking for.

Fletcher 21sc

Ive just sold my 21SC which I had for just over 3yrs, the back up and aftersales was great. The boat was superb value for money but the only problem i found was the small fuel tank, only 100l and with my 5.7l V8 it soon went. Friends with other types of sports boats have 200+l tanks.
