Am I right in thinking new flares have a 5 yr shelf life ?? or is it longer ? If 5 yrs then I am good for another 1 and a bit. I di find a 1985 red on Pipedream when I bought her 3 and a bit years ago.

They seem to be for 3+ years. The flare packs on sale now have an expiry date of 12/12 according to some webshops.

I shall investigate tomorrow - my local place seems to be one of the cheapest TCS but I haven't rung Dauntless yet. Cheapest is a relative term /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

David, I don't know which camp you're in when it comes to the question of out of date flares, but I happen to know of a place where recently out of date flares are more than welcome /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
