flame arrestor?

just like to know if anyone can describe or show me the design of a flame arrestor so i can manufacture my own.

Or, a UK dealer where i can buy one... perhaps in the south?

Good links, Alf. Pretty simple things, really - just a stainless mesh to conduct the heat of the flame front away...

hey ho. yeah, its for the engine... its a ford essex V4!
which is in the boat connected to the omc stern drive
