Flag halyard gismo - what\'s it called?

On my flag halyard I have a small fitting that consists of two "C" shaped fittings that clip together so the halyard can be clipped and unclipped easily. Anyone know what this is called as I need to get another one?

Thanks for any help.

Actually Inglefield clips.
Invented by Lieutenant Edward Fitzmaurice Inglefield, later Rear Admiral Sir Edward Inglefield KBE

So it does, but the clip does it quicker. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Only drawback is you also have to attach them to the flags you are likely to use.

You can make them from two pieces of bronze chain. Just make two diagonal hacksaw cuts. Use to to this for making caving ladders.

Worth doing, since real inglefield swivels are pricey. Really good mind you.

Only one of them is called Englefield (the top or upper one). The bottom one is called the "Humperdink" clip.

They are called 'Sister Clips'. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Is that as in scissor sisters.

If both are same non-swivel - then both are Inglefield.
