...to a flat surface. How do I do that then? I have searched but nothing All the microwaves I have seen have no fixing underneath

My microwave sits in a cabinet. I epoxied 2 squares of plywood drilled for the microwave's 2 front feet onto the shelf in the correct location and installed small cleats above so it is not able to move upwards.

I mounted 2 pieces of wood (plinth)to run front to back, drilled a shallow hole to take the rubber feet.I routed to make it L-shaped cross sectionally.Screwed and glued the plinth to a flat shelf.I then undid the case to see what room I,d got at the sides, fortunately there was enough space.I then drilled and self tapped the case to the plinth.Use hardwood as its much stronger for the plinth.Probably not strong enough for a yacht taking a knock down but OK for me!
