can anyone supply me with a cheap fixed gps for marine use. any offers welcome, but it must work and be able to connect to a dsc vhf set. OR where can i buy one thats cheap.

Try eBay for a cheap one but even new you can get one for about £100 AND you will get a warranty!
OR try this on eBay - but be quick - it's only got an hour to run and the reserve is £130! Excellent Garmin and will work fine in the cockpit. Try the 128 model with an external antenna for chart table work.

One of the best of the small hand helds with an option of an external 12v supply(don't believe any battery life quoted!) is the Garmin 72 or 76 range.
