Hi, am about to replace the impeller on an inboard Mercruiser (first timer!)- in the manual it shows about 8 screw bolts on a round housing that need to come off and a paper gasket to get at the rubber impeller.I think getting it off and shoving the new one seems pretty straightforward (I hope!)
But just wondering about putting it back together after replacing the impeller because it doesnt mention any sealant needed- is it reasonable that the paper gasket alone will suffice?
Dont want leaks so any advice or experiences greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
