hi i have a moody 34 and would like to fit a snap on or simular hosepipe fitting in the windlasses locker. for washing down the foredeck and anchor. i am thinking of running the pipework from my domestic pipework all the way up to the locker. has any one done this and know a good route to run or any advice thanks dilly

Most people would fit a separate washdown pump, using seawater.

We have a 376, similar layout to your 34. Easiest way was to insert T into heads inlet pipe, mount pump under cockpit locker floor, with outlet tail and switch just under lid level. Clip hose on from there when needed.

Hi I have a deck wash system made by Johnson it has an inlet pipe, strainer, pump, flexi hose and spray gun. The pump is in the forward berth storage locker under bed with the flexi and nozzle in the anchor locker. Pump system has snap fittings water intake is under v-berth. Pump is about size of an electric bilge pump.

That sounds good is you have prods running the pipework and what did you strip out to get access to fit the pump thanks dilly

We installed a separate water pump, with a change over so it could be used either with sea water for anchor washing or fresh water for deck washing or showering/water fights.
