Does anyone know where I can find out some fishing mark locations within approx 15 miles off the Great Yarmouth coast, or are they all secret, is there such a thing?

Any info please,

G'day Dean,

Would you publish your fishing spots? I don't think so, have a good long look at the chart and pick a hole or channel fish on same side water flows into it, if it flows along it, look a bend and flow from shallower water to deep. You can send me a postcard with a picture.

I am afraid oldsaltoz has given you the right answer, however if you are a decent, helpful, grovelling sort of bloke, the local sea angling club is the place to start your quest, but you will find that using your own gut feelings and the charts will stand you in good stead, if you must try to tag along with other boats do not commit the cardinal sin of uptiding them. Good Luck.

steam directly out of great yarmouth harbour for 23mins at 17 knts then using your hand bearing compass take a bearing from the 3rd cloud on your right the 4th wave you can see breaking on the horizon and finally the lone seagull on your left that should be about right had a shedfull of fish on that mark the last time guess i must have been on some kind of sand bank !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And dont forget to put an X on the gunwhale so as you can find the spot again.

Seriously , look on the chart for a reasonably rocky seabed and that should produce. use a long (4feet) flowing trace behind a weight that just holds bottom.
4/0 or 5/0 hook on a 60 to 80 pound test hooklenght and a strip of mackarel should get you going
Best of luck .
Tim
