First voyage - she31 - Maryport to Aberystwyth advice please!

I agree with Marc J that Pwllheli is a long diversion and that the Bardsey anchorage provides a “better” angle for the sail across to Fishguard or Aber. to clear the Causeway.

Thank you all for the advice. It's amazing to have so much knowledge available, so thank you for taking the time to respond.
En the train now en route to Maryport.

Given all this advice we'll probably have another think tonight about route taking the latest weather forecasts into account.

First things first, taking the previous owner out for dinner for us to hear as much as he can tell us about the boat.

Many thanks,

Glyn.

Take him to the captain nelson, good pub, really excellent food. Get there before 8 during the week though, it's quiet now and it will shut by 9 if no diners in.
I will be down at do some bits on my other wee boat tomorrow, bethfran, let me know if your still there.

Interesting!

I will be around all day i think.. Fixing the chartplotter and so forth.. I might have to search you out for some advice.

Cheers
