Strong stuff that Belgian beerI did Belgium to Hayling Island for unrelated (technical) reasons once.
I don't recall the exact distance, but it was 100nm+.
About three days later I was able to walk normally again.

Cruise Britain web site. Perhaps it's a cruising route! 148nmWhere are you getting this figure from? I’ve just done a quick route in Navionics and it’s 103nm.

That was the only site I looked at but did notice another quote 150 in posts. You might cover that distance in a yacht that was tacking up the English Channel into a non-prevailing easterly I suppose. Otherwise, it’s plain wrong
That’s about 140.I misread, I thought the 102 quoted was Poole to Dover.
That’s be a nice trip. Once you have confidence in the boat! Three days probably for comfort. Was looking into going over to the Hamble to get some work done on our Ocean 37, the builders here are really busy, and a good few of them don't like to touch GRP, they are geared up for steel boats rather than plastic fantastic ones, quoting November 25 before slots are available to get some painting done.
It's around 234nm from where the boat is laying to the entrance of the Hamble according to Navionics.
Strangely it was the wife that suggested it, and she has been very much down on going out to sea in the boat. That’s be a nice trip. Once you have confidence in the boat! Three days probably for comfort.
Why not knock 30+miles off of your second leg and navigate to the east of IOW and make your over night stop in Gosport or Southsea?I agree - even without knowing what boat it is - it must be 150+ miles which is a very long trip IMHO.
Edited to change distance. Still a long way
Look up aqauastars on YouTube they started in Jersey to Brighton before going around the UK.Savvy navvy has Guernsey to Poole at about 75nm
Has anyone done the trip?
