Well , a few hundred quid later and a few weeks off the water and i was ready for the next boating trip.
The plan was to go to windsor or further on the thames but we ended up on the river wey (as you do) .
It's got some good pubs and it's great fun working the locks,good fishing,mainly carp.
But the high light of my trip was Sutton green, on the map the lock keeper gave us there was a pub marked , so we decided to hammer in the stakes and go for a beer. So its across a cattle bridge down a mud track alongside a farm with an electric fence and just down the road,all the way we are saying we've gotta remember all this , 1 pint and we'll head back or we'll get lost..........So 1130 we fall out the pub with a free create of larger from the landlady for the entertainment , o and some crisps and 2 candles .
Down the road we go , mind the electric fence we remind each other , into a field , around the field ,where did we get into the field??? i know i'll light the candles, i think she was taking the p... when she gave those to us. any way we find the mud track after deciding that sitting in the field and drinking the larger was a bad idea, through the track no broken bones and across the cattle bridge, ahhhhhhhhhh theres the boats we made it , then after all that my friend goes to board his boat and plops into the river :O)
Oh and it wasnt Forbsie.
