Went on my first sail of the year today in my little graduate dinghy.

I coulda done with a smidgen more wind but it was quite overcast with thin cloud which meant there wasn't any glare off the water but it was still about 18*c.

I've never raced before but I've been entered into the cadets annual district regatta in a boat almost identical to mine so I miht try and find out which of the races on my local part of the river I can enter (there aren't any other grads about) so it'll probably have to be an 'open event'.

I'm guessing most of you have been out already aswell there's been some lovely weather about recently.

Just got back from a 3 day sail in the bristol channel.

Could have done with some more wind, although yesterday was ok with about 10kts.

Suprizingly I spent several hours engulfed in fog on friday!

Was anyone else out in the BC on friday?

First Sail

We were out int eh Solent this w/e. No wind at all, but was good to give the old diesel a good few runs and to get the boat moving -- they just dont look right ashore...
