Going back in the water on Wednesday - hoooray !
Thought I ought to check the batteries for water level and found all cells on both batteries well down. It took 1 . 5 litres of distlilled water to top them up!! Tis is the first time I have needed more than a few drops per cell and I can only think the dehumidifier is responsible.
Anyone else had this?

I have been running a dehumidfier for a couple of years and never had that. one battery is about 2 feet away from it.

I do get a lot of water out of the air and the boat is not sealed (old woodie) and she does leak, so its got lots to go at. But the batteries only ever need a drop or two or water every year.

the dehumidi might soak up the occasional molecule, but no way can it be held responsible for removing cubic centimetres of water.

Some other cause needs to be identified.
