Fireworks on Friday Night - Brighton Marina

About 10pm there were some wonderful fireworks set off from one of the pontoons - HUGE red hearts, soooooo romantic !!!!!

THAT was a MAYDAY call, have you not done the course!!!!. Poor sod may be at the bottom of the oggin now.

You only see what you recognise, and you only recognise what you know.


EXAMPLE ONLY (Don't get stroppy)
SO you saw pretty fireworks, lovely pretty fireworks, because that is what you know and recognise (you have seen fireworks before, you recognised what they were, and you love them). A trained sailer on the other hand would have recognised it as a distress signal, because he has been trained to recognise the difference between a firework and a red flare. Perhaps I need some more fireworks for my boat /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

You seem to only read what you want to read. He was on the pontoon not in a boat - he was in the marina, not a sea. But then again, he is a bloke so he could have been in trouble even in those cirumcumstances.
