St Tropez this morning . Large motor boat on fire .
Some poor sod won't be having a good day .

Yes bad title after all that breaker chat .

When the first puff of smoke was seen we was just about to haul up and go out , but by the time we got the windlass there was five or six ribs out there .
It's been over an hour and it's still smoking , the CG boat is now there , , I guess that going to be the end of that boat .

We saw one off Santa Ponsa last year, small motorboat. Burnt down to the waterline and sank in an hour. Plenty of rescuers/gawkers standing by, as you can imagine given the location. The crew abandoned into their dinghy and nobody got hurt.

I too was worried your windlass problems had escalated. Glad to hear everything is OK.

Sympathy for the boat concerned. I hope no one was hurt.

19 Mts motor boat two Dutch guys they got off ok .
It's been in the back of my head since that thread drifted , going to buy two smoke alarms put one by the solenoid then other by the breaker .
Still playing around with it trying to find problem but stop posting not to bore people .
