I'm looking at a Finnmaster 6100 - but i'm a bit worried as the boat is only 6m's long. Has anyone been out in one of these in choppy coastal waters?

Hi, welcome to the fora.
Think your problem will be that they are still rare in the uk so I doubt if anyone on here has one. Why not ask the dealer/importer for some names of customers that you may contact.
Like most Scandinavian boats, they seem to have a reputation for decent build quality and clever design.
It is however a small boat to be coastal cruising in, in moderate seas upwards. This will show up the limitations of the crew before any that the boat may have, as things will get very uncomfortable. I'm afraid size is important in boating as well as in other "hobbies" /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Apologies if the above appears obvious, but I've no idea how much boating experience you've got.

Details of Finnmasters here from H.M. Yachts but no specific CE ratings. You'll just have to go out and try one in a F6! You'll insist on a sea trial anyway before purchasing. A 6m length wiil be "bumpier" than a longer length naturally.

Driven a 6400 in a slight chop and thought it was a great little boat. Handled well and was massive fun. No big seas to test it but in the conditions it performed better than other similar sized boats driven on the same day.
