All arrived in very good order .. quickly and Customs paid as part of the price ... very happy with them. The seats - I checked and Chandler price here for same is over 80 euros each ,,, the pedestals similar ...

Once weather improves ... and I am halfway sorted on my Ulcer .. will be fitting these ..

Wow! The table brackets (£7 for a pair of 300mm arm length) are incredibly low cost compared to the same bought in the UK (£21 - £25 for same size). It is no wonder that UK businesses are under price pressure when deals like this are available on line.

Temu is just the tip of the iceberg, Aliexpress, Tao Bao, Shein, Made in China - once you buy something you get onto their mail list, which is focussed round 'things' you bought, and then things related and then other products they offer that you don't need but ....they have a very clever modus operandi.

Exactly the way Tesco clubcard / amazon / eBay etc al have been operating for aeons.

At present I'm eyeing up the EVA Teak Decking .... my motor boat has half cockpit done by previous owner but rear half which is divided into port / stbd locker covers and centre engine cover are plain varnished ply ... you can guess what that is like when damp !

Worth mentioning that Chinese stainless, in my experience, will definitely not be 316 and even decent 304 stainless is a lot to hope for. If it’s going above decks, stick a magnet on it before fitting.

I would say to all that it would be crazy to buy any electrical gear through such channels - everything I have seen from these 'direct from China" places has been dangerously poor quality. From cut of switches that melt to lights that catch fire (and that's tough with LED amperages) so whilst I cannot speak to the rest of the inexpensive stuff, be warned when it comes to electrical parts.

Oh and also incidentally wifi routers etc - for no reason YouTube promoted a video on these to me yesterday - completely vulnerable to a years old, well known hack that will give access to all your data , like banking codes etc, - perhaps deliberately or just old tech in a new box ...

I smile when people warn 'Don't buy Chinese' ............ when its well known that a large part of worlds products are now Chinese !!

I always remember a rather expensive Phillips Stereo I had .... when you took back off .. it said ASSEMBLED in Holland ...... NOT Made in Holland. The stereo was actually made in China and only put together in Holland ...

Maybe you need to get out more.

Xenophobia comes to mind

But maybe we are just naive and the robot vacuum cleaner is a spy waiting for us to buy a Huawei phone so that it can download all our sensitive details.
