I've been looking for a fairline Targa 37 (Poss 34) or Sunseeker Portafino 400 for a while now.

As I'm new to this am I missing a trick? is searching the web and reading the monthly mags the best way to find a boat? are there any other methods I should be trying as I'm really struggling to find a boat in what I keep getting told is a buyers market?

Anybody know of such a boat for sale?

Would also consider Ancasta, Apollo Duck and Network Yacht Brokers as they tend to have the larger databases.

Good luck in the hunt!

Have you tried www.boats-for-sale.com (Boats and Yachts magazine website)? Between this site and the Buying a Boat link from ybw.com, you should cover most if not all of the boats for sale on the web

www.boats-for-sale.com is turning up 21xTarga 37's, 15xTarga 34's and 10xPotofino 400's alone so I'm surprised if there's nothing you fancy there!

Mike I have not looked at the web page but when you get that many hits they are often the same boat, put on by different brokers so double or multiple counted. But there must be at least one of each!

Learner might know the protofino market. Is he about?

Boats and Otboards is worth a look. Not sure it is a buyers market - the last 12 months have been very busy for brokerages and many in my area are complaining of not enough boats to sell.

Yes, you're right jfm, probably only half the number of actual bosts as posts but still a fair choice
You're right about Learner. I think he's seen every sports boat for sale north of Gib. BTW, did he buy that Windy or did it go the way of all the others?

Still naffing trying .. (the broker).

It's me on my own so trying to drag price down ( a long way that is stupid) will undoubtedly go way of rest ... now about Portofinos...
