Finally purchased my First Boat - A Hi-Star 46

Well done WRJACK What fun. I would defo buy a lower helm seat before journey (can see might need to move it out to get to those drawers) but I would make it work-- make sure adjusts upwards for high view has footrest and armrests. Newlyn and Holyhead could be good fuel stops - take cash you might do well in Newlyn. without wishing to be too boring -- spare charts on phone or ipad- dinghy and or liferaft - radio(s) decent long strong ropes anchor all working good full toolkit google all your phone numbers for marinas and fuel in advance -radar working.
Jealous of Manchester.

Sounds like a cool trip but probably not one to do in a rush. It’s not ideal taking a new (to you) boat on a long trip like that straight after buying it. Get everything serviced and checked. Get someone to check the electronics, renew charts, autopilot, etc. It’s a long way to steer by hand.
Also, lots of spare filters, etc
Do a good sea trial before you leave.

I strongly agree.

Do a few short local trips first to identify any issues, and familiarise yourself with how (and how well) it all works.
