I don't ever want to go through the process of buying a 2nd hand boat again, and never a water dropin on a Friday 13th again...ever! Amanzi is now in the water for Mother's Day. The wife who had never seen her before accepted the offering and busied herself feeding the beligerant swan while I got to do the hard graft of getting her renamed and ready.

That looks as if you and the family are going to have a lot of fun. Many happy sea miles to all of you.

Congratulations on the new boat, I hope you have great fun in it. I am hoping to have many fun times in my new one, looks like there are a few newbie boat owners this year

I'm afraid you have already broken forum etiquette for owning a new boat. One picture will just not suffice, please add several more as soon as possible. Its a lovely looking boat, what engines does she have?

You try work with elecrtickery heatguns and polishers while changing name with that trip hazard up. I already took a tumble into Aberystwyth marina in February. That was jolly good fun for everybody else. Me? Not so much :o

Watch out for that swan, it pecks at my hull if I don't feed it. My kids think it's great, I don't, we have a blue hull!

Which pontoon are you on?

I am now on a swing mooring just outside the marina. Was temporarily on F while some work was undertaken.

Thanks for the kind words. She was supposed to be launched after 9am but when I got to the marina at 8:30 she was already in the marina. Although she had passed her survey with flying colours including the engines which were also surveyed, when I tried to start her up, one drive was stuck in the up position. A quick fettle the next day inside the instrument panel by the local engineers found no issue, it had sorted itself out but now the trim tabs were no longer operational. Possibly due to incorrect wiring when putting the instrument panel back together. Now one alternator is on the blink with a loss of half the dash guages. The canvas covers although ropey gave in the towel when putting back up and had been folded down over the dash during transit. It had collected a pool of rainwater that I suspect had then dribbled into the helm instrumentation.

Such is boating I suppose, but an inauspicious start.

To answer some other questions she is powered by twin KAD42's on duo props and this is her interior

No photo's of the cockpit at present. That was a clutter of tools and bits used to effect repairs to the issues discovered after drop in.

Good looking boat . I like the white, with the blue and grey stripes. What engines does she have ?

Twin Volvo KAD 42's with duo props on her. Independant fuel tanks as well which is nice for redundancy but a bit disheartenning at the fuel berth. Mentally it seems as if I'm putting in twice as much even though rationally I know better.

G will keep you fit. Especially when all the trolleys are taken :D

E Not so much. I'd buddy up to Big WOW and bring my putter along. :D Those water traps of his!!

Humour aside it would be great to meet up sometime. Either on the water or in The Mulberry over a pint? You aren't perchance the same Dan from WSF that I was chatting to last year re fishing boat vs cruiser are you. If so, must meetup

hi welcome to conwy are you on swing all season .and are you comin to beer and natter down canaevon os summit

I don't think I'm that Dan, don't know what WSF is though! Me and my lad will probably be down Saturday afternoon, not sure if were going out though.

We were out last Saturday, had a great trip down to pilots and mermaid cove. We even stopped at PD to pick up Kawasaki for a quick run over Caernarfon bar. He actually said to me, "didn't expect you get here so fast." Probably the greatest compliment I have ever received! Had an interesting trip back through the swellies two hours after slack water too.

If we do venture out, we will keep an eye out for you.

Dan
