I did exactly the same when I had to repair a POS Selden furler 1,000 miles out into the Atlantic.
Wheelbarrows are hard to justify!
That's what 'boatbums' and teenagers are for....That reminds of a question about how UK/EU boat do owners carry heavy items like bans of fuel down the jetty to your boat do your marina provide trollies or wheelbarrows

Most UK marinas provide trolleys. That reminds of a question about how UK/EU boat do owners carry heavy items like bans of fuel down the jetty to your boat do your marina provide trollies or wheelbarrows
So how do you bend it around the sharp bit of the bow? Or do you have a mini transat with a scow bow?you could also position your dingy in front of your boat moored to the jetty to catch anything you drop
Some of use are capable of manouvering the craft alongside the fuel pontoon & filling with the hose- where available. That reminds of a question about how UK/EU boat do owners carry heavy items like bans of fuel down the jetty to your boat do your marina provide trollies or wheelbarrows
You were not supposed to drop the lead line as well. Only the weighted bit. You were supposed to hang on to the line.Lost my specs over the bow…….dropped the lead line so diver could orientate his serach. Lead line landed almost on top of the specs!

We have a little fold up trolley from the Chinese shop. Does the trick. That reminds of a question about how UK/EU boat do owners carry heavy items like bans of fuel down the jetty to your boat do your marina provide trollies or wheelbarrows

I bought a little bike trolley ( recommended by someone on here?) which can be used with a handle standalone. Having said that, I’ve only used it once. That reminds of a question about how UK/EU boat do owners carry heavy items like bans of fuel down the jetty to your boat do your marina provide trollies or wheelbarrows
If that's intentional, it's very clever. A lead is pendant, at least while the lead line is tensioned and before the lead touches the bottom.Pendant!
