There's a chuo or fouge in the gel coat just below the sugar scoop, on the stwrn just abive the water line.

The gel coat is curved and quite thick. The gouge went rifht down to the fibre glass. Having put a couple of fill coats in I am.left with how to finsh it all off.

How to fill the curved edge. The flat plastic scraper that came in the gel coat kit is not making this easy.

Any tips n tricks to help get a good level fi ish on the curved edge?

I have used thin plastic board cut from a plastic milk bottle for a similar job. Apply your repair product, then wrap the plastic board around it and tape in place to the good GRP. Smooth side to the repair. I got the idea on here a long time ago from PRV who used plastic to repair an old speaker hole. I have also read that cling film can be used. Anyway, whatever, some form of plastic sheet can be used to shape the repair to minimise any sanding after the plastic is removed.
