We had the watermaker mending man on board recently to fix the affore mentioned piece of equipment, and having done so, he tested the product water (direct from Gosport harbour) and having prounced it almost perfect, promptly drank it. He then tested the water we picked up in Cherbourg and found it only just below the safe level for purity. So the French aren't too good either where just H2O is concerned!
He then tested the dehumidifier waste water and our watermaker's product was purer than that. But we didn't test the local H2O supply as that was announced over the radio as far too dangerous to imbibe!
Should we import our drinking water from across the water, (i.e. Portsmouth), perhaps? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
