There's a Contessa 26 on Faceache for sale for a grand in a boat yard. I think there is a race on to see who can get there first. I thought these boats were supposed to be expensive?

Some were calling her a scammer., I believe the buyer actually went to the yard to look at it before handing over the wonga.

Ex owner has resurfaced. Apparently all ok, not a scam. Though it certainly had all the signs of one....

The fact is that not many people want old, relatively deep, narrow boats.

Look on eBay: they often sell for less than an old sailing dinghy.

Clarification: "they" being old, deep, narrow sailing boats, not necessarily C26's.
